We’re Shana and Matt Provenzano—your hosts and the proud (and slightly paint-splattered) owners of this 100+ year-old gem right here in downtown Valparaiso.

 

Shana’s originally from Kentucky, Matt’s from Michigan, and together we decided to take on the challenge of remodeling this old house ourselves. Was it a wild idea? Definitely, but with a little creativity, a lot of elbow grease, and more trips to the hardware store than we care to admit, we turned it into the cozy, unique space you're staying in now.

Shana loves hosting because she gets a kick out of making spaces that feel fun, welcoming, and full of good vibes. She’s also a big fan of 5Ks, travel, and hanging with friends. Matt’s usually out in the barn working on something cool (or covered in grease), cooking up something delicious, or planning our next trip.

 

We love this place because it's right in the middle of all the action—close to state and national parks, universities, and big cities like Chicago and Indy—but still has that small-town charm.
